Charlie Tighe


Charlie Tighe trained with the National Youth Music Theatre and the National Youth Theatre, and as a singer with the Royal Academy of Music. His work in theatre includes The Life of Galileo at the National Theatre; Little Shop of Horrors, Rope and Arsenic and Old Lace at Pitlochry; Guys and Dolls on tour; A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Tokyo; A Christmas Carol at Keswick; The Taming of the Shrew on Tour; Pygmalion on international tour; Romeo and Juliet on tour; The Comedy of Errors at the Globe, Germany; and The Glenn Miller Story, Sunny Afternoon and Shakespeare in Love (original cast) in the West End. TV includes A Song for Jenny, The Slammer, ‘Appiness, Britain’s Got Talent and The X-Factor. Films include Peterloo and Best Shot. He has performed as backing singer for Elton John and as a counter tenor he has performed in venues all over the world, including the Royal Albert Hall, and for Classic FM and BBC Radio 3.
